My Dogs:
Everyone who is single should own a dog for companionship,
I know many people think dogs are needy but that just is
not true. My dogs go out twice a day when I am busy, once
in the morning when I get up and once in the evening before
bedtime. I also feed them during these times ,in fact instead of
being needy they get me moving on days I am being lazy as
well. Believe me there is a breed for every person depending
on weather you have lots of time to walk/play with your dog
and weather you have the time to groom them often or not
at all. Also it depends on your experience and patience weather
you adopt a dog from a kennel or purchase a puppy from a
breeder. You can research every breed of dog(s) online just by
searching for "dog breeds" or "how to choose a dog" would work
just fine. A dog truly is a true friend, loyal companion and will keep
you smiling everyday you spend with them,I never met anyone
whose heart didn't just melt at the sight of a 8 week old puppy.
As for my dog(s), I always owned a dog as a boy for as long as I
could remember. There was only a 4 year span when I lived in a
apartment building in town that I didn't own a dog, those were
the most lonely times of my life. Also those years allowed me to
appreciate the companionship of owning a dog, after I moved
out of town in the country again I adopted "Cassie", she had
lived most of her life in a kennel and never experienced living in a
real home. At first she was very anxious, everything scared her like
the ring of the telephone, the sound of the television and even
a knock at the door startled her. She did have her issues that was
a fact, but after about one year she was much less anxious and she
was one of the biggest reasons for the positive changes in my lonely
life. After 5 years I could not imagine coming home without Cassie to
welcome me when I come into the door. She loves to walk n walk n
walk very much, I also love to walk so we made a great pair and very
good companions all these years. She is more perky and energetic
then many other dogs, I love her with all my heart and she loves me I
can always tell by her kisses and wagging tail each and everyday.
About 4 months ago I purchased from a private owner not far from
where I live a 8 week old puppy.Takoda is his name and being a
Rottweiler is his game, before you all start thinking how ferocious and
mean a Rottweiler will get, that is just not true its all on how you raise
them weather they are a good dog for your home or a bad dog for
your home. I researched online dog breeds and Rottweilers are one of
the most lovable ,loyal and affectionate breed of dogs you could ever
own. Takoda is much different then Cassie,he is a very content dog in
the house and very affectionate and always wishing to be right by your
side as much as possible.Very intelligent dogs as well,he has been completely
house trained since about 3 months old and I already trained him to
shake hands for a treat. He loves to chase a ball,so that is the way we
spend our quality time together and he is protective and a good watchdog
even for his age .Raising a dog from a puppy to dog hood is much like raising
your own children, there is not much difference in the two only one has fur
and one does not.
If you never have experienced the companionship and love from a dog you
don't know what you are missing, I highly recommend owning a dog for a
loyal companion and compared to a human partner you never have to be
concerned about them losing interest in spending all their time with you. Of
course we all wish for that special person in our life to spend forever with, but
even if you are one of the few lucky ones and are with the perfect person a
dog will only increase your happiness for sure.

Doggy Poetry:
Every dog must have a soul, somewhere deep inside
Where all his hurts and grievances are buried with his pride.
Where he decides the good and bad, the wrong way from the right,
And where his judgement carefully is hidden from our sight.
A dog must have a secret place, where every thought abides,
A sort of close acquaintance that he trusts in and confides.
And when accused unjustly for himself, He cannot speak,
Rebuked, He finds within his soul, the comfort he must seek.
He'll love, tho'he is unloved, and he'll serve tho'badly used,
And one kind word will wipe away the times when he's abused.
Altho' his heart may break in two, his love will still be whole,
Because God gave to every dog an understanding Soul!
