The Reliv Story

The Reliv Story

Founded on the Future

Like many Distributors that followed in their footsteps, Reliv Co-Founders Robert L. and Sandy Montgomery were not looking to start a business when Reliv came into their lives. Bob had already retired at the age of 38 after selling his life insurance company. Their plan was to raise Arabian horses on their new farm while they raised their children together.

The Montgomerys’ interest in nutritional products began when they experienced the passing of two of their parents within a short period of each other. Bob and Sandy decided they were going to do all they could to maintain their good health, which meant optimizing their nutritional intake. At a nutrition industry event, they met Dr. Theodore Kalogris.

A Classic Company Is Born

“Through a trial-and-error process over many years, Dr. Ted developed a formula — which would later form the foundation of Reliv Classic® — that was helping him and many people he knew experience remarkable health results,” Sandy explains. “When he described the formula to us and the science behind it, we decided to give it a try.”

The Montgomerys began experiencing health results of their own. But it wasn’t until Bob was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor that they really understood how special Dr. Ted’s formula was. “After I had the tumor removed, I was able to recover in a fraction of the time I was told to expect,” Bob says. “The doctors were amazed at how my body bounced back so quickly.”

“At that point we knew we simply had to share our discovery with the world,” Sandy adds. “So we gathered some of our closest friends, sat down at our kitchen table with yellow notepads and began to design the company that would become Reliv.”
Today’s Ground Floor Opportunity

Now over two decades since its founding, Reliv is a global company with more than 60,000 Distributors worldwide. And according to Bob and Sandy, that’s just the beginning. “Reliv is as much of a ground floor opportunity now as it was when we started the company,” Bob says. “Most people have yet to hear about Reliv, and everyone can benefit from our products and business opportunity. As much as we’ve grown over the years, we’re going to grow even more in the years ahead.”

“What amazes me is that people just discovering Reliv today are sitting around their kitchen tables planning a better future just like Bob and I did years ago,” Sandy notes. “And the best part is they have the same opportunity to achieve their dreams through Reliv and change countless live along the way.”

Healthy Ways To Lose Wt or Maintain Your Wt

Healthy Snacking= Healthy Wt

Snacking is the downfall of many otherwise healthy diets, but the
good news is that your can learn to control this snacking quite easily.
Also, even if still want to snack during the day, there are ways in
which you can do so without killing your healthy diet. Staying on
track with your diet when you like to snack might be hard, but it is
worth that extra effort because it keeps your body healthy.

To prevent snacking, simply eat more meals. Instead of eating three
large meals every try, try eating smaller meals every few hours.
If you are snacking because you are hungry, chances are that you
are using more energy than you are ingesting and you need the
extra fuel. By eating 6 smaller but healthy meals every day, you
will not be tempted to snack very often, but will keep your
high energy levels.

You can also help to stop your snacking simply by removing temptation.
Before you reach for a snack, ask yourself if you are honestly hungry
or if you are just eating because you are bored, because the food tastes
good, or because you feel compelled to eat when doing a certain activity
(like watching a movie). If you are snacking because you are really hungry,
than it is probably fine to have something to eat, but if you are snacking
for another reason, you should try to remove the temptation. Simply rid
your house of junk foods and do not buy these items again when you go
to the grocery store.

Instead, purchase healthy snacks. Think about the snacks you are eating.
Would they fit easily into a food group as fruit, vegetable, grain, dairy,
or protein? If the answer is no, then the snack is probably not good for you.
For example, carrot sticks (vegetables), yogurt (dairy), or whole wheat crackers
(grains) work well as snacks, while candy, potato chips, and processed foods do not.

When you snack, remember to consider your beverages as well. Drinks like soda,
fruit punch, iced tea, lemonade, and juice boxes can contain unnatural ingredients
and lots of sugar. In short, they are high in calories but low in nutrients. Instead,
opt for drinks that supplement your healthy diet. Choose water most of the like,
or drinks that are made with natural fruits, like apple juice. Low-fat milk and
sports drinks are also good choices. Above all, stay away from most kinds of alcohol.
Red wine is an exception, since this can help your heart health, but any type of
alcohol in high amounts is fairly bad for your body.

Busy Schedule Wt Loss Tips

If you’re a very busy person, you might find it difficult to lose weight.
However, because maintaining a healthy weight is so important, it is
crucial to learn ways to fit weight loss into your lifestyle, no matter
how busy you may be. If you’re constantly on the go, you can use the
following tips for staying in control of your weight.

First, have a plan for weight loss. If you don’t, you will be tempted to
start your weight loss “tomorrow,” and for many people, tomorrow
never quite get to today. Start by setting goals that you can actually
achieve with some work, but which are not to easy to complete. Talk
to your doctor or a professional trainer to figure out how to meet
your weight loss needs.

It is also a great idea to consider your food choices on a daily basis.
If you feel as though you have no time for anything more than fast food
for lunch during the day, consider healthy choices, like subs instead of
burgers and water instead of soda. The best choice is to bring a packed
lunch every day instead. This will save you money and really doesn’t
take much time to prepare in the morning. Find a healthy lunchmeat and
low-fat cheese combination that you love, or purchase ready-to-go salad
that you can take with you to work.

One relatively simple thing you can do to really cut back on calories without
lots of time or effort is think about your drinks. First, cut back on all
alcoholic beverages. If you like to go out to happy hour, have one drink instead
of two, or switch to diet options. If you feel pressured to drink on the
weekends, simply offer to be the designated driver. Alcohol isn’t the only
thing you should consider, however. You should also think about drinking
fewer beverages with lots of sugar. Trade your coffee in the morning for
green tea. Replace sodas with carbonated flavored waters. Simply cut back
on your intake of beverages all together, and drink water. Doing this alone
will allow you to shed pounds, especially if you usually drink a lot of
non-water beverages during the day.

Don’t fall into the mindset that you are too busy to lose weight. Weight loss
is important for absolutely everyone, including you. When you take care of
your weight, you will be a healthier person in general, which leads to less
down time due to illness and a longer lifespan.

Adding Water To Your Diet
 (What Works For Me)

If your like me you just can't drink very much water, how I have added
water to my diet and its actually working very well for me I add just
enough fruit juice such as Apple or Grape juice to give my water a little
flavor to your water allowing me to drink more water without feeling so
unsatisfied with the taste or lack of taste of just plain water. The little things
we consume in our day adds up, but most doctors suggest to watch what
your drinking since most of us drink very often during our day and if your
like me your sipping at some kind of drink most of your day. I have found this
is working very well for me to drink more water and less soda and other drinks
which are not good for my diet. I don't believe in diets, but I do believe in watching
what you are consuming during your day to be sure your eating and drinking as healthy
as you can to lose wt or maintain your wt the healthy way.

In the past I have tried many lose wt drinks and shakes with very little if any success,
the last few months I have found a shake which tastes much better then any I have
tried in the past and this shake actually is helping me lost wt. This shake contains
high protein for more energy and high fiber to feel full much longer and not get those
cravings for the unhealthy foods, I sip my shake everyday in the evening since that
is when I usually snack on unhealthy foods while on the computer or  even worse
during the winter when I do watch more television then during the summer and
possibly you are much the same? Anyway this shake has allowed me to lose some
wt when others failed me in the past, this shake is only 29.95 per container and
lasts me one full month drinking one shake every evening and you can get them in
Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry. I prefer Strawberry and I have never tried the
other flavors but the strawberry is very tasty. You can not purchases these shakes in
your local market as far as I know, but if your interested in giving these shakes a try
use this link to read more about them and you can order as well on this website.
