What Works For Me?

Even though  I do not believe in diets, I decided to share with you some of the options you have to consider when deciding to lose those extra lbs we all wish to lose. Myself I believe in eating snacks in moderation and  paying close attention to portion size to lose wt the healthy way, but I have shared with you the most successful options to lose wt in this post and its up to you to decide which one or if any are right for you. No one knows you as well as yourself, what works for one person could cause just the opposite results for you. I prefer to work out at home with my own work out equipment, before you start to think I have the bucks to invest in a lot of gym equipment that just is not true. I own a exercise bike and a set of 3 different weights of hand weights which I use to stay toned, this works very well for me but does not mean it would work out for you? I have found out over the years you have to find the right exercise work out which you will enjoy doing and not dread every time you work out. Everyone in my opinion and I am not an expert should have a mixture of cardio and strength training, also I add a day of stretching work outs which gives me a change in my routine so this is what works for me now you and only you must find out what works best for you. The best way to start out is a good exercise book with a good variety of exercises for a good work out for all parts of your body, so now for the other options for you to consider to get started on the right foot with your new weight loss work out routine.



The Gym or Home To Work Out?

When you’re trying to lose weight, you can either choose to work out at a gym or at home. Both options are great for different people, but if you really want to maximize your personal weight loss, you should try to choose a system that works for you. While there are advantages and disadvantages to both, usually one place or another works well for a person. You should try working out in both places to find what works for you. 

The gym can be a great place to train and work on weight loss. There are a number of weight loss advantages to this. First, at a gym, you can use the very best equipment. You should only, of course, pay for a membership at a gym that meets your needs and have the equipment you want to use. Exercising equipments are extremely expensive, so if you like to use them, you might be in trouble trying to train at home! At a gym, you’ll also be able to work out with professionals. Most gyms have classes either for free or very low costs and you can work with someone who knows what he or she is doing in order to realize your weight loss goals. Because you’re paying for a membership, you may also be motivated more often to hit the gym, instead of working out at home where kids, hobbies, and the telephone can stand in your way. 

However, there are also some great things about working out at home. When you’re at home, you don’t have any excuses like bad weather or lack of time to drive there. You can exercise and lift weights on your own time, even if that means working out at midnight, lunchtime, or in the early morning. At home, you can also work out while you’re doing other things, like watching your favorite television shows. You don’t have to deal with other people at home either, so working out at home means no more crowds or locker room. 

Sometimes, it is good to mix both gym workouts and home workouts, depending on your mood. There are both good and bad things about both places and you can choose the place you want to work out according to your goals. The key is to exercise where you feel most comfortable, because that’s when you’ll work hardest and lost the most weight. 



The Jenny Craig Diet

Although the Jenny Craig weight loss system has been around sine the 1980s, it has recently skyrocketed back into the public eye, due to the new celebrity spokesperson, Kirstie Alley. Alley lost almost 100 pounds using his diet, so if you are looking for a great way to lose weight, this might be perfect for you. 

The Jenny Craig diet and weight loss program is centered on the ideas that if you have a more healthy relationship with food, you can control your eating habits and have a more active life. The key to Jenny Craig is learning about good nutrition choices and portion control. According to the program, the diets used with Jenny Craig are set according to standards set up by the United States government and dieticians from around the world. 

When you’re on the Jenny Craig diet, you’ll pay for Jenny Craig’s special foods. Each participant gets a set of pre-packed single servings that can be microwaved or quickly made in a traditional open. These servings include both meals and snacks. You will also receive guidelines on other foods to purchase to supplement your diet, including fresh fruits and vegetables and low-fat milk. The program is set up for your to eat these foods until you meet most of your weight loss goal; then, you may again begin introducing regular foods into your life once again. After four more weeks, you’ll be able to completely control your own diet.

The Jenny Craig weight loss program doesn’t tell you to give up the foods you love—it just tells you to eat everthing in moderation and relative to how good t is for you. This program also advocates exercise and participants are encouraged to hit the gym at last five days a week and to be more active whenever possible. 

If you join Jenny Craig’s plan, you’ll get an amazing support system with your own personal consultant. Your consultant will work with you at a Jenny Craig center face-to-face or talk to you on Jenny Direct, a telephone hotline. You’ll review with your consultant your week’s plans and the previous week’s failures and successes. Many of these consultants are past clients, but they are usually not dieticians or doctors. 

Jenny Craig doesn’t work for everyone, but many, including Alley, have found success. They program costs $30-65 a month, depending on how much weight you want to lose. Talk to a doctor before starting any new weight loss program, as always. 





Weight Loss Rules To Break

When you want to lose weight, their might be a number of rules you will want to follow in order to shed the pounds as quickly as possible That send, some rules just don’t work. No matter how great they sound or how many experts can show you the results following these rules will bring you, there are a number that should just be broken, at least some of the time. When you know which weight loss rules to break, you have a better chance of losing the weight you’d like to lose and keeping it off. 

First, certain items used to “motivate” you simply won’t work. Although having a size 2 pair to jeans in your closet might seem like a good way to motivate yourself towards your weight loss goals, for most people this is just depressing and frustrating, especially if you’re a size 10 currently. Get rid of anything that does not fit. Also, stop weighing yourself every day. As you exercise, you’ll build muscle, which weighs much more than fat. 

Another weight loss rule to break is the one that says you should cut out all of the junk food in your life. If you are currently drinking a six-pack every night or eating fast food every day, suddenly stopping this behavior won’t last long. Also, if a diet tells you to completely cut out one food group or another in general, break the rules. You need proteins, even if you are a vegetarian. You need carbohydrates, even if you do go on the Atkins diet. You even need fats, even if you are overweight. All the nutrients in your body have to work together on a daily basis to regulate your body’s function, and cutting out completely one link to that chain will ruin your entire health. Instead, learn which foods to eat in moderation and follow that rule instead. 

Don’t be afraid to question weight loss rules that you come across. It is simply better to do that than to follow rules that you’re likely to break or that you don’t understand. The South Beach Diet

Losing weight can be difficult, but there are many programs to help you diet and exercise in healthy ways in order to take off the extra fat. One such diet is called the South Beach Diet, which is a plan developed by Dr. Arthur Agatson. The South Beach Diet is slightly different than other weight loss diets because is is divided in three phases, each with their own weight loss rules. Each phrase comes with a list of foods allowed and forbidden foods and the program’s literature will give you information about why you’re eating what you are eating. 

Phase one lasts for two weeks and is very strict. In this phase, you eat few carbohydrates and remove a number of foods from your diet completely, including fruit, pasta, potatoes, alcohol, sugar, and bread. This phase is never meant to extend for the rest of your life, but is instead meant to kill certain cravings. Most dieters find that they do not crave breads or sugars after phase one. The theory behind phase one is that our bodies react to the foods we eat, so by completely cutting out all of the bad foods, we flip a switch that tells our body to react different and stop storing fat. 

During the second phase, you get to look at your forbidden foods lists and start to add them back into your diet. You can’t eat everything on the list without a care in the world, but you can pick the foods you enjoy most and add them back into your diet in moderation. After phase two, you enter the final phase, which is meant to last for the rest of your life. While there are a few basic rules to follow in phase three, by this time, the program’s guidelines should have become your way of life. Therefore, you won’t need restrictions any longer—you’ll just automatically make good eating choices.

As always, remember to talk to your doctor before making any drastic changes in your diet, and plan exercise, because no matter how good a diet is, you won’t lose weight with healthy eating alone.

Losing weight can be extremely difficult, and some people are turning to medical procedures in order to help themselves lose weight as quickly as possible. While it is not as common as it used to be, abdominoplasties, or tummy tucks, can help you look and feel better about your weight. However, remember to review the pros and cons to this procedure before you decide to go through with it.

I do hope this post has given you some new options in your weight loss routine, remember if you can find a way to make your work outs fun you will work out more often and longer. Believe me there are many days I  do not feel like working out even when I do enjoy my work outs much more now then ever before, but after my work out I do feel so much better then before I worked out and I am proud I forced myself to work out that day more then any other day. There are many ways to trick ourselves into taking better care of ourselves, one way I do this is by adding just a little fruit juice to my water for before, during and after my work outs since I just can not drink straight water at anytime. There are many other ways to fool ourselves, possibly in another post I will share more of then with you.
